This was in my aunt's storage and I do not know the history besides what I was able to find online. She did volunteer at our local hospice thrift store and collected many things during that time so I suspect she picked this up there. What I do know for a fact is she worked there over 25 years ago so this has been in storage for at least that long. There are no stamps on it and it looks like part of the chain is missing in comparison to the ones I found online. Everything else matches up perfectly necklace on worthpoint and the other for sale on Etsy. One site says ivory and the other says ivory other says bone. It was common to use walruses, narwhals or even oxen in construction of jewelry. The striation on back of Eskimos might be best indicator to a trained eye exactly what was used. Exact Measurements in pictures.
